This year’s summer has brought good news for those eagerly waiting to travel to European countries. Last year, European Union announced plans to reopen the continents for tourism with particular attention to those vaccinated. Europe is open for tourism for Americans and other visitors after more than one year due to COVID. Europe has induced some restrictions for their visitors to tempt back tourists, dollars, the continent’s trattorias, pleasant vistas, and cultural treasures. But the traveler will have to find out the guidelines of individual countries who are allowed or not in that country.<\/span><\/p>\n

European Union has reopened its borders on an individual basis for the first time after March 2020. countries will have the freedom to follow EU’s guidelines & to amend them. Many countries have opened their borders with the interim process by creating a temporary app for calculating tests and vaccine status.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

It is the story of the whole pandemic as situations vary from weeks to months and country to another. Many western countries like France, Italy, and Portugal have reopened to the visitors, while new lockdowns are still executed in Spain.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Countries like Denmark, Iceland, and Sweden are open to travelers with fewer restrictions; instead, Finland and Norway remain closed to American visitors. Some countries are not only opening their borders to inviting visitors to stick around the remote work programs.<\/span><\/p>\n

According to the current COVID-19 situation and local travel restrictions, plan your trip destinations to ensure your visit should be safe and respectful of those who call it country home.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Now Europe is open for tourism, and then you should read the current travel restrictions for different countries in Europe.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

List of countries opening up in Europe<\/h3>\n

France:<\/strong> if you’re done with the vaccine, you must visit France, but only if you got one of the EU’s approved vaccines: Pfizer, AstraZeneca, Moderna, or Johnson & Johnson. Few “green” countries and the visitors vaccinated outside Europe are still asked for negative test reports not more than 72 hours. Children from 11 years will have to show a negative test report.<\/span><\/p>\n

Italy:<\/strong> As Europe is open for tourism and you plan to visit Italy, you must self-isolate yourself on your arrival for 10 days unless you arrive on covid tested flights. If you don’t want to be isolated, carry your negative test report no more than 48 hours before your arrival.<\/span><\/p>\n

Greece:<\/strong> In April, Greece started opening to American travelers, and now visitors from China, Britain, and 20 other countries are allowed to visit Greece with a vaccination certificate and a negative PCR test report. On June 1, Including Germany, Greece, and five different countries, introduced a COVID certificate system for travelers.<\/span><\/p>\n

Spain:<\/strong> Spain welcomes its summer tourism by kicking off the COVID ban and opening the borders for Americans and European visitors with an official vaccine certificate. Spain also invites those vaccinated with the four European Union-approved vaccines and two Chinese vaccines authorized by WHO. Tourists from Brazil, South Africa, and India are banned at the moment because of the high risks of COVID infections cases there.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Denmark:<\/strong> good news for US travelers, Denmark opens its borders as of June for those fully Vaccinated. Those who have received EMA-approved vaccines are relieved from testing and quarantine. If you are unvaccinated, you must take a test during arrival.<\/span><\/p>\n

Austria:<\/strong> By showing Vaccination proof, Americans are allowed to travel to Austria. Those who are unvaccinated must show their negative report or the antigen test within 72 hours. Visitors who are coming through from the “Area of concern” in the past 10 days will need to observe under 10 days quarantine from the day of arrival.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Czech Republic:<\/strong> The Czech Republic opened its borders for US travelers on June 21. unvaccinated travelers can visit with negative PCR within three days of arrival and antigen report not older than 24 hours. Vaccinated travelers can go with only the Personal Locator Form. Face masks need to be worn while visiting public areas like shops, airports, public transportation, and anywhere else where social distancing is not possible.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Iceland:<\/strong> The fascinating tourist place in Europe is open for tourism, with all arrivals required to show either vaccination proof or Negative PCR reports(Within 72 hours). If you are undergoing PCR testing on arrival, you’ll go for a five-day quarantine, which ends with a second PCR test.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Ireland:<\/strong> when Europe is open for tourism, how can Ireland lag behind other countries when it is beautiful. Ireland is slowly beating its lockdown rules to open borders. Currently, restaurants, bars, and cafes are opening only for outdoor dining. Other cultural and museum attractions are opening with a protective measure in place.\u00a0<\/span>All travelers can visit with negative PCR within three days of arrival and antigen report not older than 24 hours. Vaccinated travelers can go with only the Personal Locator Form.<\/span><\/p>\n

Portugal:<\/strong> As Europe is open for tourism, Portugal borders also open up for some countries. But before landing in Portugal, all traveler requires to show a negative PCR test report; you can go either with an antigen test taken within 48 hours or a PCR test taken with 72 hours. Use your EU Digital COVID certificate, and it will show that you are vaccinated. Before departure, it is mandatory to fill out a Passenger Locator Card.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Europe is open for tourism; instead, some countries still closed their borders.
