Frederiksborg Castle

This castle is in Hillerod, and was initially constructed by Frederik II in 1560 and then later extended by Christian IV It hosts the Danish Museum of National History and has fantastic architecture and Baroque gardens.

The Viking Ship Museum

Located in Roskilde, this museum features five Viking ships excavated from the nearby Skuldelev area.

Kronborg Castle

Amalienborg Palace

Amalienborg Palace is actually the winter residence of the Danish royal family, situated in Copenhagen. It consists of four identical classical palace façades surrounding an octagonal courtyard.

Jelling

There are two large burial mounds, runic stones, and a church in the Jelling area, located in Southern Denmark.

Assistens Cemetery

This is a historical cemetery in Copenhagen, and among its interred famous Danes are Hans Christian Andersen and Soren Kierkegaard.

Roskilde Cathedral

This is the UNESCO World Heritage site that boasts brick architecture as the burial site for Danish monarchs since the 15th century.

Kastellet

This is a 17th-century citadel located in Copenhagen and features a star shape and very preserved ramparts of its citadel.

Aalborghus Castle

Lindholm Hoje Museum
